hello i am the proud owner of a silver 90 alltrac i got it here in minnesota so it looks good from a far. Ok it has 3 inch exhaust, the batery moved to the trunk, and the egr removed, the fuel lines rotted right at the tank so im fixing that issue at the moment and having some trouble getting the lines that were left connected loose. Ill post pics here in a day (not on my computer) hope to get it going soon again

Tried putting in a boost gauge today, I had no idea what I was getting into. Started at 2 in the afternoon and expected it to inly take a couple hours at most I stopped around 730 and still not done. I'm going to be making a write up for it for all the other noobs to follow. Its an electronic one by prosport gauges. Ill list the link when its up. If any one has any pointers that would be great I have the line run into the car and all I have left to do is drill the mounting holes and connect the power wires and plug it all in. Tomorrow I'm hopping to be done. Will get pics up again once its nice out again.

Correction electronic not mechanical.

Please just post it here and not to another site link.

Looking forward to seeing your progress. :)

the plan was to make a write up in the write up forum since there isn't one here and just post a link in this post. Or were you saying just to write it up and not post it in here?

06-08-2010, 05:54 AM
He was just meaning dont link offsite.

do it in the writeup section, then link it here, that is fine.

Got the gauge setup so I can see it on and working but the cords are short. I had to use the radio wires for power and such so when I put the radio back in it all got caught up in crap. I would Finnish it all tomorrow but I have drill till sunday and have to get ready tomorrow to leave Thursday. Going to fort macoy Wisconsin. Will have it up by next week for sure sorry about the delay.

Nice job so far. Do you every come up to the Twin Cities? Have you ran your car at Rock Falls by any chance?

06-10-2010, 08:27 AM
i had gotten my car up by the cities so i dont know if it was run up there by the previous owner or not but not by me. I was up there to go to the mall of america a couple weeks ago but other than that is a really rare occasion unless im going to camp ripley and go through but i stay on the highways when i do. Ill be taking it up there in late august is what the plan is for my anual traing for the guard. do you ever come down here to rochester at all or even to austin because we have a spam museum  ill be sure to hit you up when im up there sometime though.

You should be able to do what I did with my boost gauge. I tapped into one of the IGN+ feeds on the back of the instrument cluster, and then the headlight switch.

Not sure where you tapped yours into, or where you installed it, but I stuck mine right in the cluster itself.

06-10-2010, 08:51 AM
i tapped into my radio wires and is gunna sit on my dash right above the temp controls ill get up pictures monday got drill in the morn till sunday. i also dont think i would have room in my cluster is a large 60 mm gauge.

So she finally decided to throw a code at me today after acting up since last year error code 21. O2 sensor. Now the decision is to just get a wide band or stick with the OEM. Any ideas an o2 sensor here in my town is over 180 dollars and I haven't looked super hard but I bet a wide band is a little less.

07-13-2010, 06:47 PM
Go with an OEM O2 sensor. Shop around for a decent price.

You could get a wideband but that's something that shouldn't be used on a daily basis. Use a wide-band only for tuning purposes as they are prone to go out on you if you do use it on a daily basis.

This is why many aftermarket Down-Pipes have a secondary threaded hole for the wide-band but can be plugged up with a bolt when needed.

07-13-2010, 08:09 PM

try them

just dont get a bosh

07-13-2010, 11:02 PM
ah ha i didnt know what that other threaded hole was for in the downpipe. i figured it was for an o2 sensor but wasnt sure how it worked but now i konw thank you. and i did look again for the o2 sensor its 68 dollars for a universal bosh sensor here in town and thats all anyone carries here so ill just keep lookin and keep trying to fix this thing.

07-19-2010, 05:26 AM
sorry about the wait i finally got some new pictures
im not sure how to down size them so it dont take as long to load on the computer. was also hoping to be able to find out how to try and get on car of the month. and i still need a ctech sticker anyone know where to get one?

07-20-2010, 06:05 AM

09-26-2010, 09:21 PM
got the o2 sensor from toyota because i didnt wana go cheep on it. and got it installed. oh my what a differance it made, runs like a champ :woot: I ended up letting my buddie use the car for a couple weeks while i was out of town, and testerday i found out i got a rusted breakline thats leaking, that wasnt leaking on him. :( I wanna go stainless but dont have the money right now, just gunna have the neighbor fix it while im out of town again. Has anyone done ss break lines to their celica i dont know if a trac is different from a gt and such or not any help or ides?
