What were the compression numbers? Looks good. Get an FMIC core or WTA TMIC before even thinking about throwing that in the bay. And then figure out a piping route once the engine is in for the FMIC if you choose that option. I can't describe enough how ghey the ATA TMIC is.

i'll do a comp test in the morning. the place i bought it from, venus auto, told me the numbers were good.

i'm going to pull the timing cover and look at the seals, pull the plugs and look at them, and pretty much just look the motor over in the morning.

1st thing i have to do is unbolt the trans and get the motor on a stand.

are you sticking with the auto idea?

yeah, i'm going to run the auto and hope that it gives me a good 4 months. i would love to always run an auto trans to be honest. the celica is the only automatic vehicle i have ever owned and i like it. i'm going to run a stock motor and stock boost on my auto trans and see what happens.

the way i see it is that my trans is freshly rebuilt, and has handled the extra power that came from modding my 5sfe. it even handled the 75 shot of nitrous that i used before selling the kit. granted i wasn't always in the nitrous like i will be in the boost. i figure it should be able to handle a stock 3sgte. if it does i'll try to push it to the limit.

when i get through spending $4000 on home improvement projects i'll be able to get the trans that i want, but i would like to keep with the auto.
