On the 3s? I'm assuming the gen1 or gen2 correct?

i have done the swap in my All-Trac, what did you need to know. there are a few websites out there that have detailed pics on how to do it.

here is one of them

When I install my HKS 264s on the 3SGE I'm going to have to check the all the values and make adjustments. I figured I'd lighten up the the valvetrain at the same time by switching the shimless buckets. I'm already shim-under, but I thought I'd go one step further considering I'm upgrading the springs and installing cams with 10.0mm and 9.7mm lift in and out, respectively. I'm talking to MCS about a Stage I port and polish job. I'm going to get this head to flow like crazy.

But my main concern right now is how I take the cam specs AND the valve specs and complete the job correctly. I can get all my stuff cheaper than MCS will provide so I want a DIY job for everything except the machine work.

With longer duration, higher lift cams than stock? I don't think those are available on the Gen1?

I may go shimless depending on how many are out of spec and how tight cash is.

This (http://www.alltrac.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=24542) is an excellent write up from AllTrac.net.

Not sure if this helps since your using aftermarket cams and already have shim under bucket but I thought I'd throw it out there.

i am running the stock shim over bucket with stock valves, engle springs and gsc 268 9.7mm lift cams at 8k. its been proven on mr2oc that as long as you have stiff enough springs the shims wont fly out at 8k.
