View Full Version : 2000 GTS Synthetic vs Regular trans oil

I read in other places that the MT 90 from Red Line is better for racing.

Others have reccomended regular GL 5 75/90 oil for every day driving and said full synthetic seemed to make the sycros not work as well and took a long time to shift smoothly after getting warmed up.

Also going to lube shift linkage. looks like the centet cosole has to come out to do it best...

Any thoughts appreciated...

i have mt90 and it does good when warm. its not as great cold. i have a worn 2nd syncro and i autox my gt-s. i have always used redline and prolly will stick with it.

Redline is about like that. It does better warm than cold, but it isnt bad.

I havent noticed anything spectacular about it though.

Im told Redline lightweight shockproof fluid is the shit for our cars (work great in S53s and S54s too)

saw it on Red lines's site. Going to order a few quarts and give it a try. Will report back...
