gonna check one out tomorrow, $6000, 128k miles, 6 speed, great exterior and interior. fully loaded. what to look out for? just check the oil condition, check for grinds when shifting and make sure it hit's lift?

something you might wanna check, bring some tools with you though. lift bolts under the valve cover. its an expensive job if they are broke. get him to knock about 500 off at least

Exactly what bugs said. When you test drive it, you'll have to drive it long enough till it gets warm as well in order to get the full info. Mine has some quirks that *mostly* go away when its warm. (Yes, I know I got stuff to take care of). IE: Gear synchros might grind when cold but not when warm. Also it won't let you hit lift if the engine isn't warm enough.

yeah, you need 2 bars on the temp gauge before lift. my tranny isnt great cold but warm it does better. look for water leaks into the hatch area and under the back seats.

read up on newcelica.org you will find everything you need to know. but like mentioned, lift bolts and shifting.

what year GT-S? if its a 2000-2002 and they have never been changed. im 99.99999% sure they are broken, lift still might work. but they should be fixed.
