...of my Toyota family. A 1996 4Runner. My wife's new suv. Finally absolutely had to get rid of her POS 98 DSM Eclipse. We tried like hell to get her a Camry but just couldn't move on them fast enough to grab one. A lot of people are jumping ship on them right now, no matter what year even early to mid 90s, but there are just as many or more people waiting to snatch them up. So after a few weeks, my wife got frustrated and impatient(huh, imagine that) and asked me if I thought a 4runner would be okay. I did a little research and told her I suppose so. Lo and behold on the third day she turns up this gem. Has 137,xxx miles on it, V6, almost completely loaded, original owner. The woman who owned it a nurse who received as a college grad present new from her dad who, get this, has been a Toyota mechanic for like 25 years. When my wife went and bought it from her she gave my wife 2 d-ring binders with plastic sleeves full of all of the maintenance records and receipts from day one. It had a full tune up less than 1k miles ago, plugs, wires, fluids, the whole nine, and the tires only have 1800 miles on them. Honestly, the only thing it needs (besides 4WD, it's 2WD ghey) is an antenna and a paint job. So I wittingly told my wife, good things come to those who wait.:thefinger:

Jeebus, just realized I forgot to say how much we paid- $2200!:D

I don't know, I haven't even seen it in person yet. I've been 500 miles away for the past two months.
