Sweet! Now post some pics of the car :hehe:

Make sure to do a basic tune up before upping the boost...new plugs (I like the NGK BKR7EIX, one step colder than stock), plug wires, dist cap & rotor. Fuel filter if you're feeling up to it too.

Listen to Chris...You should also do a compression test and leak down if at all possible before you go upping or modding anything.

Let's see the ride.

So my downpipe arrived here Friday, March 19, I cant do much until I get a midpipe and the rest but Im slowly gathering parts, I may just get the aussie mild steel midpipe and go with the HKS catback.

I ordered some more parts from TwosRus:

If you have some time this weekend Chris, I want to invite you and Ryan over for some beers and maybe give me some tips putting in some of this stuff. I know you're busy with Ryan's beast but I was hoping you need a break from that specific project :)

I was actually thinking of putting the first boost gauge (45mm one) somewhere in the MR2 and use the MBC in the MR2 :) I want to pump it up!(said with a Arnold accent) now that its had a tune up.

I'll order another MBC, wont take long from TwosRus.

My current project is to figure out how to remove(to clean) my IC from the MR2. I have some searching in some forums to do and lots of research before I buy one. I am going with Luni's idea to get a KO kit, or get that used Phoenix IC, after I've done some research.

It's too bad were not all in the same city cause I would LOVE to drink beer and talk about cars.

Quick tip for cleaning the intercooler, tape up one end, fill it with gas, let it soak for a bit, empty and repeat.

Do that until the gas comes out clear, give it a rinse and make sure there's no gas or fumes left inside, good to go.

Quick question, how much did the Berk downpipe run you?

I've always thought it looked top notch, especially with the flex section but I'm leaning towards ATS's 3" model.

Hm. We do have a lot planned for the weekend as we are needing to have the motor prepped to install by next weekend. But we might be able to figure something out, especially if beer is involved. When were you thinking?

BTW - did you ever check about that hoist from your friend?

Hmm...if the hoist is available, I think I could definitely help with a boost gauge install as that would take a big logistical mess out of the equation...previously we were planning to do the swap in/out by renting from Auto Value, and returning it within the window as to only pay 1 days rental fee. But if we had one we could have for a week or two, that would be so much better. Think you might be able to chat with your friend about it?

BTW - Best prices I've found on the Berk DP's is at TCS: http://www.tcsmotorsports.com/exhaust.html

I did ask him, he said it wasnt his. He said he wanted to buy it off the guy, I said I would go half-ers on it. I'll call him and see if he was able to buy it.

Thanks dudeman, I read that too regarding the IC. I found a walkthrough on how to take it out...with photo's! :)

I dont remember how much it was, but with shipping and all it was under 300.

Its only a 3 hour(doing 110km/h) drive down here...and Im at the top of the City.

I almost bought some Kevlar component 5.25 for the MR2 but 750 is a little pricey, the next speaker up was 1300, I forget the name, but they are hand made from France.

Did a tune-up on the MR2 yesterday, today a complete cooling system flush(used Toyota red stuff, but added Mo-cool or someshit the TRD rep was selling, he tried to get me to buy that Mo-cool gel, but I went with Toyota OEM) and new rad cap. I didnt change the thermostat as it functions fine.

I just talked to him(Don), he said we can probably get it no problem. He is going to clear it with the guy this weekend though. I told him to still look into him and I going half on it and he said he would too.

Don's a Mustang nut, he NEEDS a engine hoist...lol I had him join a month ago or something. Probably has a username with Mustang in it somehow.

HKS SQVIII in the MR2, it looks nice, sounds nice.. hooking up boost gauge now, just taking a break...then boost controller. I ordered another controller for the GT4. I plan on taking the MR2 next weekend to the track, so I'd like to have the MBC installed this weekend.
