Not sure how the ride would be, or what the likelihood of breaking them would be. http://www.fastcoolcars.com/airless-tires.htm

Saw them on an episode of Future Cars a couple of years ago. Supposed to ride well and provide everything standard tires do. The big downside is they come attached to the wheel, so no more rim shopping.

I haven't watched TV except for the news since I bought a TV. Any time I actually see something on TV, it's at someone elses house. Haha. So I haven't seen 'em before. But really though. I'm sure that if they became popular enough, they'd make them in at least a few different styles.

You put those on I think people would be looking more at the rubber then the rim. I know that is what first cought my eye looking at them.

those are cool. even though the spokes are made from polyurethane and have a shear band to provide strength and durability. I would still be worried about the fatigue strength of these supports, the impact strength, their ductility, durability, etc. But i guess there are blow outs on rubber tires so they are similar. still not sure how i feel about all of this

I can't go to the link at work, but I saw something on TV about these a few years ago. The biggest issue they had back then was they couldn't go over 50mph without overheating the tires, wonder if they got around that

i dont think that will be goodd. u want to atleast have wheels.
