View Full Version : Height problem

So I dunno when this happened but I noticed one my 90 car that the front end is crooked.

It was about 1" shorter on the drivers side.

I ended up swapping out the entire strut assembly that I took off of my 91 and put it on my 90. If I remember correctly, they should have been decent before I pulled them off of the 91.

So now that I swapped them into the 90, the driver side is still short by I think half an inch.

There isn't anything else that can account for this other than the struts right?

I'm probably gonna replace the struts with new ones later on, but just thought I'd try to fix my uninsured car.

Dude, I told you about it when we did your clutch forever ago. Sagged springs is my guess.

Unlikely it's anything else. And struts would be a waste of money if the aim is just to solve this problem. Springs do the great majority of the work when it comes to holding your vehicle up.

Agreed on it most likely being a spring issue.

Yeah man and I fixed that problem and it turned out to be (way) mis-matched springs.

...but now later on, I've got that problem again. I swapped in my springs/struts from my other celica (no probs before) and its better but the driver side is still a little low.

Oh well not much of a big deal right now.
