Hello. Welcome to CelicaTech. Check your VIN (Vechicle Identification Number) in various spots throughout the car. Check the side label on your front passenger door. Or youre not sure where that is, it's always on your insurance card. I can give you more options but I gotta run. Hope this helps!

Driver side door edge tells you exact manufacture date.

Your title should tell you exactly what year it is.

If you are in doubt, post a picture, and we can tell you what it is.

yeah i think so 2, but the has been replaced for a 2T.

Door handles tell me it is at least an 84. I had a 83 with the 2tb engine in it.. That car was fun! (2tb had the dual carbs)

Disconnect the drive shaft from the transmission and then drop the cross bracket (that you mentioned) and then unbolt the transmission. To make it easier take a soft piece of wood and put it under the crank pully on the front of the engine and jack it up slightly, this will give you added clearance for the rear bolts on the transmission and the bell housing will clear the firewall.
