Hey guys,
I need some wider rims cause I can't get traction with my 205's whats the widest I can get on an ST narrow body? Or if I swap some GTS fenders on can I get wider rims? Any help would be great.
Thanks!

Remember traction is not limited to the width of the tire but the compound and design also effect them. But then you have trade offs the softer the tire the better the grip but the soooner you need new ones. At least that is the way I look at it. So what type of driving are you talking about anyways?

Yes, instead of worrying about wider tires, think about getting something softer/grippier.

Yea I suppose that I should be a little more concerned about the "grippyness" rather than width, it's for my 3S swapped Celica ST it's a DD that I track with every now and again when its warm. I would also like to get a set of wider rims with an offset (to bring it more flush with the body) because the ones I have are 195's (not 205's) and I don't like how narrow they are or how far they sit into the wheel wells.

Widest rim that looks good on a narrow body is an 8in with a 35 offset.
