View Full Version : Too much money?

Since getting my Celica I always seem to have "Penis Envy" for other people's cars - a case in point would be this one for sale in my home town.

Not that I would entertain getting it - as even if I had the money I've no where to put it - yet it does have some beautiful lines....

Seems to be too much money tho

He's on alltrac.net. Its a good example of a clean and well kept 20+yr old car and I think its a fair price but thats coming from an alltrac owner. However I could see how one would think its alot.

I remember that addy from when I found my 92 STX - the price now is $1000 less than it was two months ago.

That car really has some fine lines - straight out of the last of the "wedgie era".

I bought my 76 for $1,600 and have $1,500 MAYBE into it, and that's counting random piddly shit.

Now I need to find a shell... stupid grandma...

I'll probably use insurance money + tax money to build a 5SGE as well.

Oh! If I add wheels and tires I'm probably up on you.

Well I will admit this was a one-of-a-kind car - and it is now gone - at least the listing is.

Here is another more mundane listing - for WAY TOO MUCH money - and notice how everything looks great - until the end when they make the remark that "Runs and drives but needs transmission fixed or replaced." and then throw in the "OBO".
