Does anyone else get problems with hand cramps?

Ive been spending a lot of my free time the last few years wrenching on cars, at night after i get off work(where im on a keyboard all day).

Let me tell you, its gotten to the point where ever wratcheting off one bolt gives my hand such a cramp i have to take a break before i move on to the next one.

What about you all?

Air tools FTW!

But yes, I suffer from a 'mild' case of carpal tunnel. It sucks.. I've learned to love wrist supports & wrist bandages.

My hands will cramp especially bad when it's colder. I try to keep them warm, and loose to avoid the cramping.

maybe it's cramping from it having a long session with Mr. Johnson from not being around a woman long enough since you are busy on the computer and the cars?

joking. get some support.

Yeah carpel tunnel sucks balls. I get that shit on my left fore arm and I'm only 24. I do sit in front of a computer all day so that doesn't help.

Change your keyboard layout to Dvorak. It's been a big help to me. Takes about a week to get used to.

I type all day every day and don't have problems with that. I use one of them ergonomic keyboards though, and have for years. If I type for long periods on normal keyboards it starts to hurt my wrists a little bit.

My hands cramp up sometimes, but like anything else, if you exercise it, it lasts longer.

If youre not used to doing work on cars youre going to have more issues than someone who does it a lot.

Start taking a glucosamine supplement. It helps me alot(Wrenching on Cars, Computers and Lifting @ work). Was diagnosed with arthritis @ 16 because of a previous broken bone.
