Its a 1986 Jap import i bought,

3sge, 5sp manual, no emissions gear or egr setup.

Its got power windows, electric adjustable seat/lumbar support, electric colour coded mirrors and factory light switch and loom for 'spotty/driving lights', climate control (not A/C). its got 14 inch factory mags.

The Jap VIN plate has been removed and replaced by the Australian department of transport one when it was complianced and plated when imported.

ANy tips of help/directions would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like what we in the US call a GT-S.

I don't know exactly what the JDM trim variant was called.

5-lug wheels?

pics would get it ID'd in a heartbeat.

Offhand.. I'd say it's the JDM version of the USDM 4th gen GTS (3sge, power windows/locks, etc).

FYI, power equipment was still optional on the GT-S. The only standard differences from the GT package(cruise control, auto A/C) were the 3S-GE, disc brakes, and the 150Mph speedo.

I'm not 100% on this part, but I think the exception to the above might be the spoiler. I've never seen a GT-S without one. It was still an available option on the ST/GT.

My hatchback is fully loaded with everything except the spoiler. Power windows, locks, and sunroof. The sunroof has the tilt and open. The GT-S I scrapped had nothing. Manual locks and windows, no sunroof.

The main thing here though, is that the car has a 3S-GE. Assuming it wasn't swapped, that makes it a GT-S. The rest doesn't matter.

Edit: Forgot the wheels. 13" 4x100 were the only option for ST/GT, 14" 5x100 for GT-S.
