the lower part of my rotors near the hubs that doesn't get used is ORANGE! i need to remove my rotors to get them resurfaced/turned and i wanted to paint them with something to prevent rust from forming again. can someone recommend a product or procedure to prevent rust on them?

I simply sanded it as much as i could, gave it a few coats of primer then gave it a few coats of high temp brake caliper paint (great stuff, doesn't chip easily!).

Dude, you live in CA. How the hell do you get rusted rotors? Mine stay clean all year every year. :luvydunno

I wouldnt paint rotors... as soon as you use the brakes it takes the rust off so its not a big deal.

Aahh, i thought you mean't you wanted to paint the centre of the rotors, i wouldn't paint the actual rotors them selves, you could sand it though.
