View Full Version : Goodies in the mail!

Goodies arrived in the mail for me today.

Got a gauge pillar from Lo-tek. but they seem to be angled the wrong way, almost as if it's for a RHD car... it'd make sense to me to have the gauges angled towards the driver, not towards the mirror, but maybe it'll make more sense once it's installed.

I also got my dorman crankshaft pulley.

I don't really think it's going to make any more sense once it's installed. I think you're right about being for RHD. Could be wrong though.

Well, i managed to lose the nuts that hold my passenger side motor mount, then after going to 4 different stores only to be laughed at needing a m10x1.25 nut and then coming home, I found both of them, right next to my jack directly underneath where I removed them from.

Got my old pulley off, it's mostly comparable to the dorman. The old OEM pulley uses a solid piece of rubber, whereas the dorman uses a strip that's pressed into place. I compared the timing marks I was using and I was way, way, way, way off. The timing mark is on the outside of the pulley, and I was trying to time against a chip on the inside. I'm hoping this will fix some of the performance issues I've been having once I get this all sorted out. Hopefully tomorrow night I'll be able to finish putting everything back together and wednesday she should be drivable (stat holiday for us canucks)

I did a dry fit of the pod, I still think they're facing the wrong way. Will get pics once it's mostly installed.

Until then, please enjoy some pictures of my dog.

Dude you can trim the holes if you need to.

You can rotate the gauges themselves.

You have the right pod. Trouble is, lotek angled that bottom piece wierd. My solution was to cut it and screw it into the oem pillar.

My write up:
