Any chance that you can DL a basemap from APEXi that will at least get you to a tuner?
Or is this not what you are asking for? It helps if you're a bit more clear in your goals/needs.

Not sure what his exact goals are
From speaking with him last night a basemap is pretty much what he wants. Basickly a starting point for the pfc

Aren't those units preconfigured for a specific engine right out of the box?

It should already have a basemap set that will run the car as stock.

If I recall correctly, there should also be a way to reset the ecu back to factory spec, so if it has been messed with too much, you can go back to default.

Sorry for not having more information for you, but I don't own one and only have limited experience with them in general.

they are supose to be, but from what i heard, the base map for the 2zz knocks really bad, and the map mine came with was for an injen intake and headers, neither i have. i know its rich, but i dont want to lean out the injectors incorectly.
so my goals would be learning more about the injector timing and duty, the ignition timing, and then the vvt control, mine is most always set to 50deg vvt.

I am pretty sure I have the 2zz basemap. Do you have the datalogit?

Chris, upload the basemap to a place on the site. I want to do a PFC maps section.

A map section would be great. i have everything, but just wasnt to sure on all the tuning aspects.
Thanks everyone.

If you can send it to me, that would be great. thank you!

the MAP that comes in the PFC is crap. there are tons of people on NC.org with Power FC's i find it hard to believe that anyone is not helping you. read the stickies that JesseIL wrote. and unless you have a wideband, how do you know you are running rich? Jesse's tutorial has several MAP's in it that you can work with

^ thats what I asked him.....I guess he has a gauge that will work off of the stock o2 sensor. I advised him to get a real wideband also

thanks tom, really got my back, jk. i will get the wideband when i can afford it. it took most every penny i saved to get the pfc and datalogit. I am currently back to the stock ecu, so no worrys. but it would be nice to have everything set so in the spring i can swap back and have the wbo2.
the gauge i got that toms talking about uses the factory 0-1v o2 sensor and kinda guesses if i am rich or lean. but most the time its just maxed out on the rich end, unless kinda coast 1/2 on the gas.

Smaay, nobody over at NC.org is being helpful in this instance.

There was supposed to be some PFC Map database and that thread is deserted with crickets chirping.

Do YOU have any decent basemaps I can host for people? Id LOVE to have a basemap section by engine type and EMS type people could look at and refer to.

OK so the default map is uploaded:

http://celicatech.com/PowerFC/sample 2ZZ-GE v2.71A.dat

I found a newer one on the FC-Datalogit Yahoo group:

http://celicatech.com/PowerFC/default 2ZZGE v320.dat

Just a disclaimer - I've never opened or used these maps. I have no idea how good they are even for a base tune.

I uploaded a bunch of the sample basemaps provided with my datalogit to http://celicatech.com/PowerFC

Where do you want the section/thread?

Now isnt that the 2nd most with almost those exact words? lol.

Maps worked great at the track last night. more tuning is required, but i ran fast than the stock ecu, and i was being light on the throttle.

Luni- i think we may need separate folders for the engines... and the base map matched the map i got for an intake and headers :sneak: I wonder if MWR just said that was the map loaded.. Well anyways, the base map isnt even close, stock ecu was better.
Well maybe soon some people can start loading maps from their car after its tuned, so it will be close for other people to start with.
