Does anyone know if I will pass Pennsylvania emissions with one of those ebay race headers (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/94-95-96-97-98-99-Toyota-Celica-GT-5S-FE-2-2L-Header_W0QQitemZ350260736844QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMot ors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item518d2ab34 c), a new cat and a new exhaust muffler with a silencer? I am planning on an upgrade in the future and looking for info on if the setup will pass or even work. Do I need to worry about back pressure or anything else? I figure start with the race header and get the fattest exhaust parts I can bolt to it.

I would imagine so, if you added a cat like you say. But I've never read up on the laws in your state.

Yes it will pass, atleast I would imagine it would.... my Camry passed with the primary cat gutted. The one off of the header... so I would imagine as long as you have the secondary cat there you should be okay!

You dont want to just bolt on the fattest exhaust possible. Being NA i would not go more then 2.5" You wont gain much after this point. Im running the header to stock flex pipe and resonator to 2.5" exhaust piping to moderate sized muffler with highflow. Sounds amazing and the power gain was noticeable.

those headers make oil changes next to impossible, btw.

Moving to NA forums...

Ive never had trouble accesing my oil filter with my header installed( Surewin Header it looks exactly the same as this header). The header does free up some power from 3-5k rpm. Not sure about pennsylvania emmisions though, sorry.

i have the same header on my car. it frees up a that extra power between 3-5k and there will be no problem getting to the oil filter. easier access than that shitty manifold

I agree I feel i have more room to get to the oil filter now with the header on then i did with the stock manifold.
