I know this is a big favor to ask but I need someone to lend me some low beam housings...or just the lenses if they come off. Mine don't have DOT or ASA stamped on it and I can't pass my inspection.

Please? I will pay shipping and send them back to you the day after I get them. I'm in Canada

Thanks

Well...there is a reason that those aren't legal in Canada...but yes, you need to switch to the NADM DOT approved lights. Also, do you have daytime running lights set up?

They are a pain to install because you have to remove the bumper unfortunately.

Schmoot, I saw a sixth-gen the yard at Ralph's A-Van on Mitchell Island a few months back. Maybe give them a call, see if you can get your hands on the lenses -- better to have LHD headlights anyway.

I don't believe I need drl to pass (not sure if I have it either). The shop said the only thing I had to do was get lights with the DOT or ASA stamp and they will give me a pass

My bad - forgot the law might be different in BC. :)

I just called Ralphs, he said he didn't have any of that generation...no pause. Sometimes I wonder how these guys know this stuff right away like that....like I understand some smaller wreckers knowing exactly what cars they have but I find it hard to believe that the bigger guys know it all without looking it up

If it's anything like the places here, there's no chance they'll have anything that new. A 5th gen is very rare at the junkyards still.

I purchased mine new. At least they look nice and shiny, although they are expensive.

Maybe someones parting one out on 6gc?

I've been digging all day on craigslist for every city North America. Not getting much work done ha. I emailed a bunch of partouts so we'll see

I was in that yard, had a half-dozen fifth-gens, a fourth-gen, and a sixth-gen. I suppose they could have removed it but there's cars there with plants grown over portions so...

On your searches, I'd suggest looking for hoods rather than headlamps. If the hood's intact it's more likely to be listed.

Call Malahat Auto Parts, 1-800-663-8820. Ask about parts off 080086 and 070103

You know its funny because I had another guy tell me he was just in that yard and he remembers seeing a couple 6th gens. I think I just got a jerk on the phone. Imma call again today
