Hi, I replaced my engine (2000 Celica) the other day and then the drive belt tensioner went bad. I tried to pull the tensioner bolt out after I unscrewed it but it hits on the inner fender/frame. How do you get the bolt out beyond this point. I also was wondering the best way to add transmission fluid to my standard tranny.

take out the passenger motor mount, jack engine up, pull out bolt

Grot is right with the motor mount/jack strategy. For the tranny fluid, I use the "modified beer bong" approach.

You will need to do the lower front one as well or it wont clear.

and you will have a pita getting it out still, its a tight fit while its in the car. it can be done though with a lot of prying and cussing and maybe a bfh

yes remove the passenger mount and just unbolt the front mount, that should give you enough clearance to get that long bolt out. as for filling the tranny, there is a M10 fill plug that you remove. add fluid untill it starts to pour out. make sure the car is level when you do it.
