View Full Version : adjustable fuel pressure regulator?

Is the stock fuel pressure regulator on the gen1 and gen2 adjustable? im asking for my friend and he told me when you take off the plastic cap on top of the regulator there is a small screw underneath.

I don't think it is but don't quote me on that. I know you can do this 'mod' but its apparently not that great and you would be better off with an aftermarket FPR.

The FPR regulates fuel pressure like a ball and spring MBC. You want to use a stiffer spring or compress the spring slightly to create more tension...therefore needing more pressure to open the regulator.

To do this properly you NEED an air compressor to measure exactly what you are doing...

Edit: BTW if you do the "mod" in the link...don't expect to get anything significant out of it. Assuming you also have a 2psi pressure drop, that mod will bump you up from 440cc/min to about 455cc/min.
