i have a fender im testing this on and ill put up the results later (when ever i have a day it don't rain. Ive already painted it but havent buffed or polised it at all but it has a semi-gloss shine already.

I remember in SCC when they did their flat black car. They suggested heating the cans up a little bit so they pressurize more and keep the spray better and stronger.

Keep us posted on your progress. That link you posted was a pretty good read.

I do this anytime I use spray paint just fill a bucket or ice chest with hot water and drop the cans in there for an hour or so. Works great.

ive decided on rattle canning it dodge flame red. I was debating a shade or blu or silver but having a red engine bay would drive me nuts so ill just make the car a brighter red

the current plan is simple , fix bondo crack in the rear quarter area by window.

next remove pinstriping and other decals

then me and a friend will sand and primer the car in his garage. Then spray bomb car, let it dry for a week, then 1 week later do a very light sanding with 3000 grit and do all the buffing and polishing.

paint would be like this
