I was wondering how would i go about lowering my celica and puting rims on it. I have a 92 celica gt and it is stock. I want it to look good and have like some 17s on it without rubing. Show me pics of ur cars that have been lowered with rims. Also how do i go about lowering it. All info greatly appreciated

They make lowering springs, in general they lower the car between an inch and an inch and a half.

You will also want some uprated struts to go with those.

For the rims, it depends on the width, if you get the popular 17x7, then a 205/40/17 would give you roughly the correct rolling diameter as stock (it's a fraction of a percent), but you can stuff a 215/40/17 on the rim and won't have issues with rubbing (will put your speedometer off by 2.97% or so).

As for lowering... if you want to cheap out and just replace the springs, you can do that... however your ride quality will likely suffer for this, and you may over power your dampers with your springs.

Or you can get some inexpensive complete coil-over assemblies (around 1k), which will also let you run a 17x8 +35 rim, which will open up a good amount of rim options as well.

For more detail, search the suspension forums and you'll find in depth discussions on this stuff.
