So, I finally got the wheels and tires mounted and on the car. So far the only time I'm getting any rubbing, is a little bit when I have the wheel turned all the way, otherwise there is nothing. Wheels are 17x9 ET30 Team Dynamics Pro Race wheels with 245/40/17 Bridgestone S-03's. SO MUCH GRIP! Here's the pics. Sorry I didn't have time to wash the car.

Holy cow, that is a big wheel. I love it. That looks really mean from the rear too.

Nice!

Clean your bumper! ;)

Nice fitment job there and excellent tire choice. What exactly rubs on the front? How low is the ride height and will there be interference with the fenders when the suspension compresses? Did you need to roll the front fenders? Where did you purchase these wheels? Team Dynamics' website does not show the size you mentioned.

If I am correct, the GT/ST is only a smidgen narrower which means I ought to be able to fit a set of 16x8 wheels for a street tire setup. Good to know!

I know, the bumper gets like that after a week of driving, I need to have the muffler moved.

I'm assuming it rubs somewhere on the inside in the front, but not sure as I only heard it but didn't get out and look, and it's not happening all the time.

I've been taking it on some hard turns and haven't heard any fender rubbing, and there's not marks on the tires to imply they are rubbing, and no I did not roll any of the fenders.

I got the wheels from JC at Rocketeer, he had them custom ordered, hence why they're not on the web site, and thus making the car even more rare :)

I would think you would be fine with the 16x8 as well just make sure you get the right offset.

heh. . . you can tell how much clearance you picked up from the space you have under your bumper to the curb. . .

btw if you use a peice of skateboard tape under your bumper above the muffler, it will pick up a lot of that soot

i say lower the car 1-2 inches and it will look big pimping like the choice though and ya u have ur exhaust kinked i have been trying to get a muffler shop to do it for me but none will say it is not possible.

Sure, that's an awesome idea! That way the tires will rub on the fenders!

I thought it was an optical illusion. Did you have the muffler installed at an angle on purpose, Mr. AWDios?

I really like the way the muffler sits. Can you take pics of the piping from underneath the car/from the side? I'd really like to see how it's run.

If I put skateboard tape by the muffler, the heat will melt it, or the adhesive at least, i'm sure.

The exhaust shop decided to install the muffler at an angle, the piping goes under the rear axle instead of over like the Aussie style, as I got it done before aussie was available.

I'll try and dig up my old pics later.

All they really need to do is extend the tip another 2" or so back.

I have 17X8 and they will not fit without fender rolling. Hence why I am trying to get the GTS fenders.
