Didn't see anything like this anywhere else on the site, and I think its valuable information for people like me who are relatively new to cars, who are in the learning process, and who want know the science and engineering behind engine tuning and theory.

I was hoping people could contribute valuable websites and books that deal with the science and engineering behind engines and their components that is meant for the average joe to learn and understand. Its always discussed in bits and pieces here and there on certain threads, but I think it would be great to have all of it in one place.

I guess I'll start with sources of information that have been very helpful to me.
