well on another unnamed forum : suspect: i have come acrossed the following items and was wondering if they are a good deal?

I've got some misc Gen2 3SGTE parts for sale.

3SGTE bottom end w/ spun bearing, comes with brackets and oil pan, $150

3SGTE pistons/rods in great shape removed from a rebuilt engine $100

3SGTE valve cover $50

3SGTE turbo manifold $50

3SGTE intake semi-polished (started smoothing/polishing the plenum) $100

91-92 3SGTE distributor $50

3SGTE fuel rail w/ 440cc injectors $50

I've got a box full of misc. parts also, throttle bodies, brackets, pumps, I think axles, etc.

I'd pay $100 tops for a bare block, $150 if it blew a piston and had a good crank.

Used stock pistons are useless. IMHO. $75 would be a good deal for stock rods, $100 is about average.

3SGTE valve cover $50
Average deal

3SGTE turbo manifold $50
Average

3SGTE intake semi-polished (started smoothing/polishing the plenum) $100
Gross...great deal if it was fully polished. I'd pay $35-40 shipped max for a stock manifold.

91-92 3SGTE distributor $50
Average

3SGTE fuel rail w/ 440cc injectors $50
Average

ya for intake mani i wasnt sure if id want it or just use the stock 5s.
i wouldnt want the pistons but just the rods from this.

also would a 3sgte crank fit in the 5s block? and would that be any better than having the 5s crank machined down for the 3s rods?

If you're swapping in a 3S, then us a 3S manifold. Just get it from someone else for much cheaper.

Yes, a 3S crank will fit a 5S block. Whether it's better or not depends on how much displacement you want.

2.2l or 2.0 l? is that the difference? wouldnt that also lower my compression ratio? which would be needed for boost anyhow...

oh the block comes with everyhting from oil pan to deck so it has rotating assembly
