I love Fox body notchbacks.

I'd want a really early fox body though.

Or a newer one but convert the front end to the 79-85 style.

Why? So it can be ugly? Those front ends are nasty.

The `79-`82 noses were different than the `83-`86. There were a lot of minor updates between the three different facelifts of the Fox Chassis, most notably the headlights, hood, quarter windows and tail lights. The interiors were majorly different between the `79-`86 and `87-'93. And don't even get me started about the engines. IMO the `82 GT was one of the best looking of the early Foxes, but the `85 5.0 is the most desirable as it was the only year of a carburetor equipped roller motor.

It isn't that I regret selling my last Fox Chassis... It is just I am longing to buy another one.

On a more interesting note... every bolt location for the motors and interiors of these cars hasn't changed. I know of a fellow with a fox body that has a 2001+ Cobra motor and interior in it!

Not my cup of tea but that thing is fast! I bet it was a lot cheaper to build that stang than that supra.

sheered the main shaft off the transmission. tomorrow night i'm installing a new e153, not one of my other s-series trannies.

I don't know, I have seen some properly built 302s go for years. I used to run a `69 model 302 in a dumptruck I had. The motor had outlasted 3 trucks with nothing other than general maintenance.

they were both balls fast and I bet it would be a blast to drive either of them

Damn, we have some luck with transmissions! Did you get any clean runs in?
