wel i found a full set of leather stock seats(alltrac/gts). they are a little ripped and very dirty and wet(being in a junkyard) but are salvagable. ill have to re cover them. my question is will the rear seat work in my vert? or are the rears different dimenisions than the hatchbacks?(my convertablie is basicly a coupe) im getting them regardless but would like to be able to use both fronts and the rear.

thanks guys

any one have a clue on how much recovering will be? just a ballpark figure.

i think the upper half of the vert seats are smaller than the regular hardbody seats

Look in the EPC or ToyoDIY.com and look at the part numbers for the rear seat between the GT hatch and the vert, if they're the same, you'll probably be fine. A little detail that most people might over look would to also get the leather insert from the doors, unless it's badly damaged.

Oh, and since you have a vert you'll have to change the seat belt buckles on the front seats. The hardtop cars have a narrower buckle than the verts.

Correct Marshall. ;)

Also fyi, the rear seat won't fit.

grr thanks shadow(so much for full leather) well ill get the fronts anyways..what inserts for the doors? they looked the same as my car. the car was also a widebody but i couldnt tell if the front fender (the good one) was wider than mine or not. i might pick up that up as well

well numbers are different thanks for the site to check it. i might as well get the rear seat too so i can get my stock seat covered to match someday.

Will the bench part of the rear seat fit?I can always recover the backs to match

Won't know unless you try it, if it's a pull it yourself yard, the seats shouldn't be much more than $20 per... so you'd be looking at around 100 depending on how they charge you for the rear...

They said 50 for all the seats but since the backs for the rear won't work in my car I'm only taking the fronts and the rear bench part

Ah, well that's a good deal then! Hell I paid 75 for a front pair of non-power GTS seats (cloth, in pretty good shape).

Yeah the drivers is torn up prett bad and the back one has a few tears in it so I'm gonna have to a if someone intown can match the leather so I can get the drivers and the back recovered but every wher I Cal said they probably won't be able to cuz it a Japanese car

But I think I can find someplace to do it. Hopefully for under 1k. One place said they might be able to do it with vinyl but nobody wants vinyl

rear seats are smaller on the vert but u may be able to use the leather skins and just trim them somehow.

the fender on a non vert is differnt than a regular car but u just have to do very minor cutting where it sits down in the rocker and it will fit fine (yes ive done this before)

Then you haven't called anywhere good yet. You may just have to spring for a "custom" reskin where they measure the seats and use the old skins as a pattern. Which will also mean they will do a quality job.

^ met death that's exactly what I want to do with them I don't even care if the leather is the same color exactly and I want to add the dragon(old celica emblem)embroiderd in to the headrest. Idk one I get them ill take them some where and hope fully it will be under 1k to do. Cuz if not I found a set of sparcos for 800 for the pair

The only sucky part about that is the passenger's seat is in perfect condition
