Hi guys, well this is my first car, im only 16 so i only just passes my restricted licence.
Its a 1990 Toyota Celica GTR 4WS ST183, it has the TEMS Suspension and the Four Wheel Steer which makes the car has great handling. It has the 3SGE pumping out 165bhp at the flywheel.
The interior is very red as you can see but is all removable and can be put back to stock in 5 minutes. Once inside, its not as red as it looks.
This car is 20 years old now so finding one of these in mint condition is getting more hard, i just got lucky, bought it for $1000!!!!

Sure do, when parking or going under 45 km/h the wheels face the opposite way from the front for tighter moves, once you go over you have an option, sport mode which is the same as parking so you can chuck it around corners fast and is more responsive or have the wheels face the same way as the front so more stable at high speeds.

Sounds complicated but simple once you see how it works.

Very cool, and good find! A unique car for sure, not many parts of the world received the 4WS option.

Painted interiors are not my personal style, but for $1k I sure wouldn't be complaining.

WOW! Thats a steal for the price...you should return the interior to the original look...the painted stuff looks tacky in my opinion...but if you like it keep it. Pretty sweet car though!

Sweet! Never knew the 3 piece spoiler was an option on narrow bodies.

thanks for all the comments guys, didnt any 4ws's get imported to the US?
It has 207,000 kms on it which seems high but it is in mint condition and regularly maintained.

shame there wasnt, great handling cars for manouvering and going round corners, im surprised that not even a few celica gtr 4ws's got imported to the states.
Are you chassis codes the same as jdm ones? (ST182/3/4/5)

On top of 4 wheel steering he has TEMS, Toyota Electronically Modulated Suspension or something. So he can adjust how stiff his suspension is at the push of a button.

The TEMS (Toyota Electronic Modulated Suspension) is pretty cool, its always on because its a very bouncy ride without it. Im told it has 3 setting, normal, sports and trackmode, when you put your foot down, it automatically stiffens the suspension. Its found in the toyota supras aswell,

Took the car down the beach last week after giving it a good wax, looks great, happy with the way its at right now, for a 20 year old car, its looks awesome IMO!!!

Parked next to a celica st18x today with 17's on, he said it hadnt been lowered, it looked awesome, the wheels filled up the arches fine, hopefully i shouldnt need to lower mine.

HAHA, had so much fun this week, i found this awesome windy road and couldnt resist but to take advantage and see what this car can do and was quite surprised.
The 4WS is awesome at these tight corners, took some pics, looks rally style with the muddy tyres.

wow ive been into celicas for a good 10 years now since I got my first alltrac, but I have never even heard of 4WS or TEMS! WOW Those are some amazing features for such an old car, and on the non turbo model too. Simply amazing! Just wondering why I have never heard of anyone sourcing these to put onto USDM models, sounds like something that could be very usefull on our cars, short of the good ole e-brake 180 these cars cant even make a U turn unless on a 4 lane road.

Your car is beautiful and amazingly rare, please keep it stock, or atleast keep the parts to restore it later that thing is a real gem, congrats on the amazing find/price.
