I would appreciate you not asking such things in a board vendors thread.

If you would like, you may PM him and see if he will share that with you, but it is a bit unseemly to ask it here.

Thanks.

Thanks for covering that Mario. But I'm assuming that he was asking what my prices for these would be. I'd have to defer to the benefit of the doubt on that one. :bigthumbu Otherwise it would just be too foolish for someone to publicly ask me for the keys to the castle. :thumbsdow

St184?

Cannon, Death is right. The ST182 should work. The ST184 was not specifically listed in the information given to me. But these guys are all about Celicas, all about GT4s, and are big supporters of the community overseas. They genuinely seem to want to support the US market as well. Though the ST184 was not listed the ST204 was. As such, I think that is proof positive that they want to help us out and I would just assume chalk up the missing ST184 information as a typo. Either way I think you're covered.

Just out of curiosity, do you think there is a possibility of you attaining the "Master" bushing kit for the ST18x series?

I would rather purchase from a known board vendor than another company I have never dealt with.

I meant an all-inclusive bushing kit for the underside of the vehicle.

I meant an all-inclusive bushing kit for the underside of the vehicle.

Gotcha. My first post on the subject is a little nebulous. Not only will there be subframe kits, but there will also be all inclusive kits. Like other poly manufacturers these kits will be available as a whole or in pieces.

Even if they are not sold to me as kits I will group them (and price them accordingly) as master kits. What I'll most likely do is discount them more heavily based on the volume of the order.

You're right on the money.

ST182/4:

Front control arms: 2 bushes (front and rear) per side
Rear control arms: 8 bushes
Rear trailin arms: 4 bushes.

Nope, I need them. Bad. Times two cars.

It's one of those things where it's hard for me to justify parts of it like entire new control arms from Toyota just for the bushings(aftermarket ones are a bitch to find and end up being just as expensive, and I've yet to find the stock bushings seperate). Since it's useless to replace some of the bushings when they're all shot, not having those renders getting the others pointless.

I've also been apprehensive about ordering poly sets from some random overseas company, since nothing like that has been available here for years. So like Mario said, I'd feel much better buying them from you. So this is fantastic news, it's been so long since I researched it I forgot to ask if that was one of the things you could get.

I'll definitely be in touch when I'm ready to do it.

RedRkt01
05-25-2009, 05:47 PM
Chris, do you really need new arms? Are they bent or something? If not, I'm sure you're okay to use the new bushings on the old control arms. Get a blowtorch and burn those old rubber ones out.....that what I've heard get them out. Apparently brute force isn't enough after 20+ years.

CriScO
05-25-2009, 07:38 PM
Sorry, ranted a bit. The point was that outside of kits like this it's practically impossible to find the bushings seperate from the arms, and it sucks having to pay for new arms just for the bushing. Mine are fine.

just FYI guys, a friend of mine bought a set of these front a-arm bushings for his 205 swapped 95GT on ebay,(didnt know we had a vendor here carrying them) and man, they are GREAT.
a little pricey, @ ~160shipped from poland, but they definetly make a big diffrence, and that was only the 2 mounting bushings in each a-arm.
i would imagine these done all around would make a major improvment in overall handling.
what are your prices on the 6th gen setups, redrkt01? if you'd rather not post it please PM me, we have several guys on 6gc looking to purchase these soon.

I read through this all.. I just didn't see it brought up, maybe I missed it..

but are you suggesting to supply poly bushings for the rear control arms (8 in total) and are stock spherical bearings?

I believe this is a no-no, as the poly will have some give and that is why the spherical bearings are used stock from the factory.

Sorry, don't mean to come in an be negative. I actually have everything for my car just haven't gotten around to any of it yet. There has been a lot of discussion in some prior threads and this was one of the largest concerns. Just wanted to see if it was addressed here and what the opinion was.

I think some of the stock spherical bushings are indeed replaced. I, too, have read through those same threads and have yet to formulate an opinion. I think gaining the experience first had as a result of an upgrade is going to be the only way I have an opinion of my own. Thanks for bringing it up.......you were right to.

Very pleased with all my bushes from Red rocket. I have the entire 165 rear subframe and suspension kit.
Due to other factors, its not on the car just yet, but Kev is a great trustworthy seller.

My plan over the winter after the last event this month is to strip the rear subframe out, seam weld it, fit it with all the new bushes, fit the poly bushes to the rear suspension too, inc my 205 rear control arms, and fit new adj shocks to the rear to take advantahe of this. Get my group A rear lsd in along with a new mount and the rear should be great to go
Will be taping you up for a set of upgraded drop links & rear diff mount soon.

once again great seller and I will start a build thread for the rear re build once it starts

After all these years, finally, polybushes for all gt4s frmo a single supplier.

Do you also do the bushings for superstrut suspensions.

Toyota dont sell some bushings on their own, they make you buy trailing arms and figure 8 units with bushins pre-pressed even when you only just need a bushing itself.
Its incredibly expensive when they go bad. And they invariably do.

Please make sure you supply these bushings in particular as its something the community has needed for years.

Many thanks.
Glad to see the UK ST165 is getting sorted with your products :D
I've already pointed my mate with a garage to your products as he has several GT4 owning customers.

As a selling point and something to build customer confidence, I would lay out all the bushes for a particular model in a fashions similar to this.
http://store.autosportsupplies.com/merchant2/graphics/00000001/AE86Bushing.jpg

Dont just use the same image for 165 185 and 205.
Take the time to photograph each kit in detail.
A lot of online sellers use a generic bushing picture to sell various kits.
same with turbo manis etc.

Perhaps pick up some scrapyard suspension bits, clean them up and fit your bushings so people can see exactly whats on offer!

that would certainly distiguish you from other sellers!

RedRkt01
11-24-2009, 03:53 PM
Uh, I'm doing fine. Besides, most of the bushings ARE the same. So individual pics mean nothing. Plus, people don't buy things when they see the product mounted on scrap parts. If people are buying this stuff (which they are) then its because they already know what it does for them. As for consumer confidence, clients need look no further than my flawless feedback. Thanks for the attempted pointers though.

How much for the complete bushing set front & rear for a 97 FWD non super strut 6th gen Celica? According to here (http://www.gt4.com.pl/polyurethane/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=42&Itemid=57) the 94-95's are different from the 96-99 Celicas at least in the rear.

I'd send you a PM but I haven't posted enough times. I'm more of a lurker on this board.

Im ready to buy a set but quick question. The picture looks like both the front and rear bushings are offset. Is it specified what they change? Increase/decrease caster, etc?

RedRkt01

They will increase and decrease castor just like the whiteline units.

I sell them as the whole set. He has broken them up into individual kits per the links you have seen. My rear kits go for approx. $180. I think his go for approx. $190.

Please spread the word that I'm the US master distributer. I sell the equipment for less than he does since I'm buying in bulk.

I'm looking to buy the rear bushings...Price shipped ?
thanks

Just ordered mine. $324 for entire bushings kit and shipping. Also ordered my Megan coilovers through him for $880. I will definatly be doing business with him again. Should I do a write up of the install process of each?

Wouldn't hurt to do a write up.

I know a guy in LaPaz that could press Red Rocket's bushings in for you. He'd do it for a reasonable rate too. But if you have a press that would be fine as well.

Bump for awesome seller!

Which ones would have to be pressed in and how much would a press be? I might get one if they are cheap and can be used to do bearings as well.

Sit tight.

Hello? Should I just buy these through ebay?

RedRkt01
09-07-2010, 03:39 PM
Fellas, I've sent a couple of emails to the supplier. I have heard nothing. All I have at the moment for these parts are the ones I bought for my car. I am currently building my website by myself because I've been screwed so many times by developers. That is why I'm so spotty on communications right now and haven't been working much to make sales or expand business. Without the site I have hit a brick wall with what I'm able to accomplish. So once the site is done I will update back here with a link and I'll be as available as ever to take and fill orders. I will also nag the shit out of some of my bunk suppliers. Sorry if this is frustrating. Do know however that your frustration as a buyer pals in comparison to my frustration caused by having to slow my progress in sales and customer service so I can build my website when I have already paid someone to do it. That is truly frustrating.

Nah, Chris. After that fiasco we encountered last winter I have pretty much cut ties with that supplier. I'm tempting however to start producing my own since I'm somewhatfamiliar with the process. I just haven't had time.

Mate, a 'full bushing' kit seems to mean different things to different people. Which bushings do you want to be included in your full set?
