Just to say hi, as it says on the tin i'm new here and also a 1st time Celica owner. Had my 1994 GT for about 3 days now quite pleased with it and even thinking of selling up my 2003 Rav4 to get another newer celica.
Well my old one is a UK model and has about 150kmiles on the clock and is fully serviced, i think i may get the timing belt done or attempt it myself over the summer.
Can anyone tell me if the timing belt breaks is the engine an interefence type?
How much to have it doen at a garage?
I've done other timing belts before, how diffcult is the celica one?
Do i need special tools?

And by the way i'm in Portsmouth (UK)

What motor is in your car?

Welcome, by the way! We need more overseas members. :D

By the way... timing belt SUCKS. But it's doable.

Welcome.
It's a non interference engine.
I don't think the timing belt job is too bad, time consuming, but not difficult.
