Is there anything important I need to know, or is it as straightforward as it seems. (Remove crap to get to it/ unbolt/unhook wiring/pull out...Then repeat backwards to install)

Theres no important marking I need to match up like a timing belt right? I only have basic handtools.

Remove battery to free up space, and so you dont forget to disconnect it.

Disconnect the starter

Remove bolts

Pull out starter

Reverse process. :)

while your in there I would do the starter relay mod. That wire has probably built up a lot of resistance over the years.

I thought that was primarily a 4 gen issue. Shows up on the 5 gens as well?
