I hate the color orange in general, but WOW, your celica wears it so well. Nice pics.

If it happens, prep begin late May after a Gainesville track day.

Its actually nothing special, I'll get some pics though. Its just the old school hotrod style with sheet metal. There is an oil pressure, water temp and boost as well as a knock light (you might barely see the hold the light shines through for that).

Carbon Fiber splitter is doing very good a year on!

Thanks everyone, it is for sure a lot of fun.

Hello. I am new here and I am new to Celicas and cars in general.

I find your car very sexy and I have a few questions.

That's a 5th generation right? What kind of body kit is on it; and what size are those rims?

As you can probably tell I am totally clueless with most of this stuff so far :)

You are correct, this is a 5th gen GTS. I have standard universal 17x7 rims. The bodykit is a shogun, though it has been altered and is now a one of a kind.

Thanks for the kind words.

I like it, but maybe clean up the engine bay a bit. That insulation you are using kind of looks like ass. :P

:hehe: I get that a lot. Its functional though, and I would rather have it wrapped actually. The engine bay really is clean, so i'm ok with it.

Is that the home depot catch can I see?

That it is.. I usually do not run a catch can, though this build was getting a bit of blow by on the rings during initial breakin. Now we're about 3,000+ miles on and only a small amount has been caught, but it kept the occasional smoke plume from behind the car.

I'm looking at some other GTS's and they dont seem to have the scoop/vents that yours does. Is that a GT-Four hood? It looks similar.

Upon doing the initial 3SGTE swap, it was necessary to have an Alltrac hood to accommodate.

It was something about you never drive it in the rain because of the wipers. You just used RainX

no no, that was encase there happens to be fogging on the inside without the climate control. I do apply RainX, but I was talking about FogX. Its normally not an issue as I've worked out a very good venting system, only rarely on very hot rainy FL days. I think only once in the past year have I had to use the FogX, so climate controls have never been much of an issue.

After examining your pics some more and looking at the stock invader kit, it looks like you cut out the bottom center section of the front bumper and added a lip to the bottom, correct?

I as usual, love the car, but how much do you think it will hurt hitting your head against that wheel if you get in a wreck? I just do not see the point in going anti-airbag.

there is no air bags to begin with right?
