Is there something wrong with your 5afe bottom end?

LOL nice drunk post. I would get a 5a head gasket and see how it lines up with your new 4a block and head (if no one can tell you). I'm sure someone here at ctech will know though.

Um. Two things don't add up in your post. 1st you have a 5A-FE in your 92 GT? Second, there's a 97 Corolla with a 4A-FE? It should be a 7A-FE. Post back when you aren't drunk :p

haha i was drunk... definetly a 97 corolla ce 1.6 4afe with a blown head gasket.
The 5afe is a 1.5l JDM replacement, mines got a stretched rod from my g/f not checking the oil and she spun a bearing... the motor seems strong and the valve train is nice a quiet. head of the 4afe is totally different and I would be able to make this work if i can't swap heads...
The 5afe has the injectors in the head just like original 4afe
The 97 4afe has them in the Intake Manifold.
So I would need to use the old head...

so anyway... can i swap the 5afe head - to a 97 4afe block?
