well I have bad news..i blew the tranny on my DD saturn and i think im just gonna junk it so it leaves me with limited money to get another car so i think im just gonna drop the build i was doing on my 5sfte and sell it non turbo'd :( kinda sucks but im tired of having older cars that need work..im buyin something newer

That sucks man. Can't you find a junkyard tranny for cheap?

CPincy

problem with the saturn is that you cant get the tranny out without pulling the whole motor its just to small even if i dropped the cross member and stuff..and with the weather in ohio i wouldnt wanna do that at a junkyard and they want alot for them to pull it out. $199 for the tranny if i do it my self then the price of a new clutch

That sucks man. If go the same route as VIP said. There has to be a way to swap trannys with out pulling the motor too. They swap trannys in saturan All the time at the dealerships. I don't think they pull the motor all the time that would be dumb. Which ever way you decide to go good luck

And how does throwing a rod blow a hole through the side of the bellhousing?

Ah.

On a related note though. I once managed to throw a rod and blow a clutch up in the same stunt.

dont get an ebay clutch, go to your local parts store like previously said and buy a decent one. That way you have a receipt/warranty and your at least buying a name brand clutch and not a F1 STAGE 1 Clutch "good for 300-400whp" one.

So does this mean you are continuing with the 5SFTE build, or are you still dropping it?

Dont drop it.

CPincy
