haha, i'm sure he meant it to be constructive. and i personaly would rather go with a short ram then a cai anyways. it's a trade off of the risks of heat soak and hydro lock.

are you one of those crazy materialistic people who think that a bmw is a better car in terms of pedigree? no offence if you are, you just came off as a person who put an intake on your car but seems to loath the car itself.

lol no. my friend has a 86 bmw 325e and it has over 400,000 miles. never changed the oil in his life. never changed any fluid. stock clutch. beats the shit out of it everyday. its stock and chirps 2nd and 3rd. and they are insanely easy to work on. way easier than the celica.

So.

Youre trading in that celica that you just put a intake on, for a BMW that has 400,000 miles on it, and hasnt been maintained AT ALL. Why the hell would you do that?

Yeah it'll be faster then your celica, all for about 10 minutes, then itll only be as fast as you can A)push it B) tow it.

If i were you, i'd stick with the celica. They are not difficult to work on, well at times yes, but not really compared to a lot of Honda's ive seen

you realize that a car that never gets an oil change at 400 k miles is going to have sludge buildup due to dirty oil? that oil will be baked on on the inside of the head. not only that but oil that old can no longer be considered oil, maybe mud or even sand and will have probably hurt the piston walls. i honestly dont know how that car is even still running.

I was being sarcastic man. lol. I do loves me some 5s though. I just would be wary because he beats it like you said, doesnt maintain it, and has HIGH HIGH HIGH miles...

this guy will take care of the Beemer... :burn:

celica91gts
01-30-2009, 05:11 AM
i guess we just assumed you we're getting rid of the celica for the beemer because your offering to sell it...

eitherway im not telling you what car to get or anything, but w/e path you choose, if you do get that beemer... change it's oil for the car's sake. it will pay off in the long run.

01-30-2009, 05:23 AM
im not buying his. well i might buy his but im swapping the motor with the other e30 hes getting. i change my oil, i maintain my car engine wise. i dont care what the outside looks like as long as it will get me a to b...except for the rims and tint, i just dont like clear windows.

i had one 325is and will never look at one agen it was fast but cost to much to fix and tow if you do get it do a better swap

You made it sound like you were selling your celica, and it wasnt a big deal because you were getting a BMW. Which is no big deal, it is your choice.

Just kinda confused on why'd you'd buy a BMW with so many miles on it, that hasnt been maintained at all, thats a bad investment, will cost a lot in the end just to keep it moving.

anyway, back on it topic.

cool intake tube, maybe try an fab up your own CIA, its not hard, will run a little better

thats because you had an "i". "i"s are so unreliable. the "e"s and "es" are the reliable ones.

ah so here i bring back the thread from the dead. i sold my celica for 1300 on steelies and a system i put in it. i sold the rims for 300.

to clear a few things up, i did not buy his and had no intentions of actually buying his. i bought a 1986 325e, found out it had a bent frame, so i took the motor out and put it in an 84 325es along with my full interior/trans/driveshaft/LSD/wheels/brakes/everything, you name it.

odometer is broken, which is common in e30s. my guess is it has anywhere from 110,000 to 150,000 miles. its 5 speed of course. i chipped it, m-tech 2 kit, euro smileys, euro grills, clear turn signals, mono wiper.
