Recently I went to a guy parting out 2 5th gens, went out there for a grill piece and found these

I managed to get them and a bunch of other parts (including sys 10 rear tweets) dirt cheap, but I also noticed these door panels are considerably different than most system 10 panels I find. They appear to be a bit darker than the charcoal gray, also, the design is different and have no cloth. I was wondering, why exactly are these different?

These were loosely fitted on the door, they were not orignal, but they fit on the door just fine. They have a few little bumps, but I plan to have my interior shapened up and will have these fixed and colored during that time. I am just wondering why they are different

They look kind of like 6th gen panels....

I think you may be right, they were fitted on a 5th gen though, and appeared to sit pretty well. I am going to test fit and see if they do ok, if not will probably just rid of.

Wow, I didn't know that they would fit a 5th gen. That is pretty cool.

Let me know how they work on your car man!

If they do sit and fit ok then yeah that would be lol I'll find out for sure!

Also kinda throws me off though that this guy took those panels instead of regular sys 10 panels, but has the system 10 rear tweeters...well, I have now. Even if they dont fit right, with all I got it was still a steal of a deal, so can't complain

6gc.net might be a good venue to get rid of those...
