Ya, any car not equipped with power steering has them.. I would think some st's did not come with power steering.

yeah my rack is leaking so i was thinking of getting rid of my ps and use a manual rack. But just in case i decide not do go that route does the gt/gts rack fit the st's?

I am not sure if they do or not, you could jut take out the ps pump, and take off the lines, and cap off the rack...

You could always do a write up, for people that may want to do this in the future... :hehe:

Yeah my 83 got rack and pinion. Not all fun and games though, takes a little bit of arms to turn that bitch, and if you start sliding you a good 2 seconds behind where you need to be on the corrections

Why exactly would you ditch your power steering?

Buddy, the problem with going with a manual rack is that they compensate for the higher effort by putting a lower steering ratio in them.

If you're hell bent on doing this, i'd take off your pump and recirculate the rack. Then have fun manhandling that thing around parking lots.
