Toyota's support for its older vehicles so horrible?! I mean they have even discontinued battery holddowns?! If it were a classic chevy I could get just about anything for it!!

Yeah it does suck. Each time I go to the dealer for something simple it's becoming more difficult to get.

^yea he did have the last one. Yea this is why buying one for spare parts will become the norm to maintain our cars in the futher also there is a shitload of camrys you can use for parts too.

Every time I place an order I get at least 1 extra to go with the part I need.

Are they hard to come by? will be about 6 months before i have enough money for one.

hahha I do remember that.....

but as far as their support of older vehicles they will save themselves tons of money by not supporting them.

it does suck when you cannot get a key made for a 93 mr2 :(

I have two 4th Gens and I haven't chewed my fingernails off in some paranoid fit yet. PCV valves aren't hard to source considering they are used across models. Not to mention aftermarket manufacturers will pick up the slack after Toyota finally does can a part.

Ihave a super-hard time finding 4G wrecks at the yard. Have you checked eBay for GTEs? No shortage there.

It depends on the dealership -- mine actually has a 2000 GT on display right outside the parts counter, so they're not ignorant of the existence and love of older Toyotas. For that matter, wasn't that long ago they had on display a Japanese import, a Sera.

Actually, think that car's listed on this page: http://www.maxoverdrive.ca/sold.asp
