thats a diy job if you want that route. cut the actuator arm to the desired length, weld back together. make a fiberglass projector housing to mount to the pop up housing. some basic wiring... presto

Ive been planning this on my st162.

If you ever get around to it I'd like to see a write up after you've done it.

There is a company in the UK that does this, but it's around $1000 after exchange rate. I'd talk to the company that makes the ones for the MR2 and see if they can do the same thing with a Celica.

That's way too goddamn much for that conversion. Total BS.

It's Neeltec. They also make nipple-y fog lights.

The ones for the MR2 will directly drop in the celica. They both take 6054s stock.

I have seen both the projector pop-ups (Neeltec and custom, Rayme for instance) and I have seen folks remove the pop-up and go with a lexan cover over the projectors.

Search long enough and you will see this has been covered and done for many years in the community. Opinions vary.

I have seen 4th Gens go with the rally style inset lights as well.

I am not trying to dissuade anyone from trying this, but you won't be breaking new ground.

You lose 9000 interwebs.

Do a Google search. Like Murg said, this has been done many times over.

Ones from the Rx-7 can be easily made to work as well. Mr2 ones are a straight swap. NeelTec is ridiculously overpriced. Period.

Now if someone wanted to adapt a Hi/Lo Inset projector setup with the road tracking feature that some new cars use.... That would rawk./

you make it sound so easy lol anyways i dont want pop-ups anymore i wanted to just ditch all that and replace it with covers with hid projectors two on each side but i can see it's going to run me way more just for some small mod

I mean.....it can be done. But do you have the time, money, and patience? If you were to try and do something like that it might bea bitch trying to aims the lights.

diy is the only way I would ever do it. Where's the satisfaction in paying someone way too much to do the work, you could do, for you?

so you sir, lose 9000 street creds. :wiggle: not really.

DIY is more satisfying for sure. :)
