hey guys, not sure where to put this intro to myself, so im putting it here

well heres a little about me...

I come from the Chevy family. My last car was a 1991 Chevy Beretta GT. It originally came with the 3.1MPFI V6 and i swapped that out in favor for a 3400 from a 2000 Impala. The 3400 mated to the stock 5-speed transmission I had made it a pretty fun car. I bought the motor with 20,000miles on it, and I barely put another 2,000miles on the motor before I put the car into a telephone pole. My first accident, had my liscense for 5years prior with a clean record. The car was unsavable, i destroyed the rear end, but i walked away completely unharmed. So being completely broke, going to college, and not having a job, I had no idea what i was gonna do for a car.
Well my mom recently hired her cousin at her job, and my moms cousin found out what had happened. She was in the same mess not too long ago, and got a free car from someone. Since then she has gotten a new car, and her free car just sat there. So she passed it on to me free of charge. So now here I am in the Toyota family.
The free car I got was a 1992 Celica GT. Its got the 5sfe and auto tranny. But everything in the car works, power windows/locks, power moonroof, heat, stock speakers even sound good with my Alpine headunit. I wish it was a 5-speed, but i really cant complain because it was free. I do have to say I loved my beretta, but this Celica handles way better than it did. Doesnt have the power im used to, 180hp and a lot more tourque, but its getting me around for now. Well, thats my story, I'll put up some pictures of the beretta I had, and the new toyota I got.

Welcome man. Celi looks like she's seen some better days, but there's loads of good info here to where you can make that celi just as fun (If not more so than) the beretta. From the looks of things you can prolly even make 'er look primo again with not too much work. Welcome to Ctech and hope ya stick around!

thanks for the welcome here

the beretta i had was my love, but after 5years of nothing but a beretta, it was a huggge moneypit, i had many plans with the thing to pretty much restore it, but things didnt go my way

there are a couple things i want to fix on this celica, but since its an auto, and needs a bit of work, i think im just gonna use it for its reliability for now and save up for something i actually want

depending on how things go in the next couple years jobwise and everything, i really have my eyes on an e39 BMW M5, but thats if things go perfect
if not i have my eyes on some other cars im interested in modding too
my friend did have a 5th gen alltrac that was a real fun car, maybe ill keep my eyes out, i love the 300zx or even a 240sx, maybe even just a 3series bmw
ill be looking for something rwd/awd, and that catches my eye, idk, im a dreamer for now
but again, thanks for the welcome

Congrats on your celica!

It is identical to Ryan's (92gt) dad's car.

It should serve you well as well as being very easy to work on.
