View Full Version : Removing Sound Deadening

I am trying to remove the sound deadening that is underneath the rear seats in a 5th gen hatch, as well as the pieces of sound deadening where the rear strut towers are in the interior. Has anyone done this, or have any tips, i was just using a putty knife and a heat gun. This was taking forever so I decided to come in and run a search on here but came up with nothing. Any pointers anyone?

i dont know where you could get dry ice. Hmmmmm ..... dry ice is commonly available at local supermarkets, here (Kroger, in particular) Shouldn't be too hard to source, I wouldn't think.
