So last night my brother was in his eg civic hatch. parked at 2:30 in the dorm lot, thing was gone at 4:00. Damn sucks we put alot of work and money into this thing. Im really down right now, this is the 4th honda stolen in mobile in the last 3 months. It had a b18c1 with skunk2 manifold and dc header. If anyone sees anything like this on craigslist or ebay near the south message me. heres a pic. damn this sucks.

That sucks mang.

Good luck in recovery.

Damn that sucks, talk about a sleeper too! All that work, did you invest in an alarm?

12-07-2008, 06:35 AM
nope, wasnt mine to do, i told him a few times to get one, never guess someone would want a base model civic. sohouldnt have painted it.

Damn shame. I'm used to Honda theft here, it's fucking ridiculous around Chicago. I see postings about them getting stolen out of garages that have been scoped out in nice neighborhoods. Hondas are so easy to steal, it should at least have a hood release relocation, lojack, alarm and a clutch lock. That's even more emphasized if it has a swap.

Good luck with the recovery. But most likely it's a lost cause. It's either getting the VINs swapped and painted or the parts are getting swapped onto another car and the remainder is either getting dumped or sawzalled and put into a dumpster. Thieves usually don't wait around. I don't mean to be negative but please everyone protect your ride especially if you have any modifications. I hate seeing threads like this :(

But it really wasn't a base model Civic any longer. Especially with a B18C swap. Hondas are one of the most stolen vehicles right now, thanks to the street racing scene and The Fast and the Furious. On a Honda forum I browse, some girl had her true Integra Type R stolen from her locked garage. Those are some of the lengths these thieves will go to.

Yep where I live you can't own a civic or integra. I had a friend who bought this clean white integra type r from California he drove their with a family member to pick up the car and drove it back home was parked outside on the day he brought it home and was also stolen the same night he didn't even get a chance to put insurance on it. All my buddies are selling their hondas its just getting ridiculous here. I hope you find your car or the guys who did it.

Edit: 11k gone in 1 night....

Someone wanted vtak pretty bad...lol

But seriously man, sorry to hear about that.....

Did you talk to the cops about it?

12-08-2008, 08:49 AM
Let me ever catch a car thief. I friggin dare someone to steal a damn car and get caught by me. Ay. If I see that car around... After I make sure it's yours... I'll stab a muh-fucka in the damn neck yunderstand?

Good luck getting the car back.

This is one reason why I choose to go with the Celica over a Civic or Integra for a daily driver. I will at least have the peace of mind that no one will want to steal my car. Also for this reason, I hated daily driving my MR2 during the summer.

dude that has to suck to put all that time into a car then have it taken right from ya
i think i mighta cried if it were to of been a car of mine

12-09-2008, 04:30 PM
this is normal. thats why im out of the honda scene. most hatch nowdays has a gsr swap anyway. hard to recover most of them looks and have same parts anyway...

12-09-2008, 04:32 PM

12-11-2008, 05:31 AM
Im late.

That sucks it was stolen in the first place, my friend has a 93 Civic Hatch, dudes got a nice alarm though, first thing he did before doing any mods on it.

But yeah, glad they caught the guys.

Is the car salvageable or no?

12-11-2008, 06:16 AM
that's crazy lucky. house must have been on a major road.

12-11-2008, 06:57 AM
even if the car is not salvagable your brother got so freakin lucky, they usually never catch those guys. least they will get some kind of punishment out of it...when i was stupid i had to pay restitution.

the puddle jumper 2 will be getting an alarm, the truck has a basic one that yells at you pretty good, calls you all sorts of nasty names lol <~~~ that would be cool :burn: first thing i did to it after i found out its the 5th most stolen vehicle in the united states(last i checked)

12-11-2008, 08:36 AM
does he need an engine swap? im thinking 3sgte wont get stollen as soon.

12-11-2008, 11:30 PM
yeah, i found out that the cops saw the doods car rollin around with daniels wheels on it. called theft detective and detective followed it to the guys house where my brothers car was. fucking dumb fucks. 4 arrested. they found alot more other stolen shit also. The cops here were searching for the fucks for a long time. Car theft usually isnt that big down here, so this was a rare case.

12-12-2008, 12:38 AM
Damn... I know your pain. I'm sorry brotha.
