Okay, I've heard over and over and over again how shotty Pacesetter headers are! But what about the quality of the other headers made for the 5th gen. celicas?

I've heard different opinions on the Ebay ones, but haven't heard anything on the OBX headers!

I would like some feedback on all three types if possible whether from 3 different sources or just one different source.

Any information would be put to good use in my noggin and considered greatly, and much appreciated!

THANKS!

I think that as far as OBX headers go..........they're alright. I think that's probably as well as you're going to do for a 5th Gen header. I had one for my 4th Gen (which should fit the 5th Gen 5SFE) and it was well constructed and good looking.

BTW I'll be an OBX dealer by the end of the week. :bigthumbu

I know I will probably get flogged for this, but wtf ever.

I have the ebay header on my car.. It is holding up pretty well, and I have no complaints with it. If someone was going to get one though, it might not be a bad idea to get the welds reinforced.

Or you could get the camry manifold.

Is it OBX? If so, who cares where you got it. I got it there and I don't care what people say bc it was a fine product.

It really isnt all that bad.

When tuner4life had my car before, he put it on. It came with metal gaskets and what not.

It actually helped the powerband a bit, and freed the flow up quite a bit. For the price, it isnt bad, but i will probably get the welds reinforced sometime.

If it improves flow for you then why would you bother? I don't think I would.......

True.. I will probably just get the welds reinforced to be safe. Have you ever tried exhaust wrap? I was thinking about it, but never really talked to anyone who has used it.

I've never used exhaust wrap.......but I probably will with my ST215>ST165 swap bc I'm using the stock TMIC and will need to keep that engine bay as cool as possible. I don't think heat is as much of an issue in my ST162.

Hmm.. I have heard mixed things, one was that it works really well, the other is that its a bitch to do and that is can ruin your manifold and possibly make it crack.

i can vouch for exhaust wrap! a few buddies have used it and have had no problems outta it. but i have heard from some sources that it has cracked peoples manifolds.

it will relieve heat in your engine bay. the local shop i goto now has test tempertures inside engine bays of several cars with and without the wrap. and the results have veried but with a decent temperture drop in the bay area!

anyways i've probably made my choice i'm more than likely gonna go with the OBX header. considering i can get it for a deal.
