can running open headers in 40-50 degree weather have any harmful effects on an engine? will only be run on the way to the shop to have new exaust rerun.

Unless your running a V type engine then headers is the wrong term. Depending on where the outlet is it shouldn't be a problem. If its facing your oil pan or radiator I would keep a close eye on your temps but if not it, it shouldn't be problem.

No, an open header isn't dangerous in this weather.

I ran open header on my old coupe for two years. No issues. Other than backfiring and being loud.

sweet, it should dump just below the oilpan.

I just remember back in auto class they told some kid not to get cold air inside the exaust or something... i dont remember...

im buying myself an OBX header for christmas and just gonna hack off my old exaust til i get enough money to have a new header back exaust run.
