TWM makes a short shifter for 5th gens, a few people on here have them, and most seem to like them.

i have the TWM shifter on my car and i love the thing. it is a very easy install and i think its well worth the money. and do not buy the short shifter off ebay bacause it is made from crappy material and does not hold up over time. I recommend the TWM for ssure

I'm sure if he wanted to spend $200 he would.

Let's keep this on topic. He asked about the compatibility of stock shifters not a pitch for TWM.

I hope you mean a stock 7th gen shifter? Im not sure of you can use a 7th gen short shifter?? (ebay type)

No, you can't use a 7gc short shifter, but you can use the stock one, however the stock one doesn't do a whole lot compared to what you already have. Give a month or two to get my shite back together and I'll start doing some custom ones.

I'm offically confused now. I'm not sure what to go for when it comes to a short shifter. I'm just going to wait and see GRAYSCALE says. I've heard you can and i've also heard you can't? :wtf:

You can use a stock 7th gen shifter in your car. I posted a link with a "how to."

You CANNOT use a 7th gen short shifter.

You CAN update to a 92-93 Celica GT shifter for a shorter, tighter throw.

You CAN buy a TWM short shifter.

You CAN have Grayscale make you a custom short shifter when he's up and running.
