11-21-2008, 09:34 PM
Wuts a CT-4?

11-22-2008, 02:00 AM
lol ass... I guess I could make it look more like a G.
Thanks burn
I fixed it a bit, should be satisfactory now.

11-22-2008, 05:19 PM
should have sprayed it grey so you could just see it, black looks a bit tacky, but well see when its mounted.

11-22-2008, 07:29 PM
yeah it is a black car tho, and it wont really look right untill i get the front kit painted rather then primer, perhaps this week while its all apart I will go talk to MAACO I know the guy that owns the local franchise, probly wont match 17 year old paint but what the hell might as well get it painted already been driving around primer for like almost a year! =D

11-22-2008, 07:47 PM
looks good man.. where are the other upgrades?

11-22-2008, 08:17 PM
I just bought an ASI 56 mm aluminum radiator and 2 12 inch slim fans for it and the intercooler.
Ordering 3'' Turbo back this week sometime.
Methanol rated braided fuel lines with earls fittings for the dual feed rail with 540cc (waiting on viton o-rings from another ctech member)
Jacobs C-4 coil new plug wires NGK BKR7E plugs
Speed source poly mounts already have, going to order the subframe spacers so the DP will clear also this week.
Samco Radiator hoses.
Blitz DD BOV and intercooler piping.
Fabbing and Welding up an aluminum mount for the bumper to replace the VERY heavy 2 inch box steel under support I have been using this week, the guy that did it just fabricated and welded on one of the end tanks on that Intercooler for the hell of a nice job.

Other electronics are waiting for the exhaust... I will get to that later in the thread. Think tune!

Nice man! thats awesome!

11-26-2008, 05:24 PM
Just finished some more body work bumped the concrete wall in my underground gate parking lot cause there are no stops, that and the bumper support I WAS using was very close to the kit and actually poked thro and caused a huge crack I had to repair.... God I love fiberglass tho! Ive curb shattered it in 5 places in the snow last year... and the bump with the wall not too long ago, but it looks good as new now! haha
Primed it up, one more fine fine bit of body work before I go have it painted.
Ohhh and I forgot... I ordered 3inch Motoria exhaust yesterday! Stay tuned for installed pics, using a lift so I will get the entire under side as well.
EDIT heres some of it installed.

11-27-2008, 05:32 AM

11-27-2008, 05:37 AM
looks awesome man!!! can't wait to see the finished product!

11-29-2008, 03:47 AM
Are you going to do anything else to the bumper?

11-29-2008, 05:57 AM
I have splitters for it that are not on in the pic, also I used the peice that was the faux carbon grill and put that in the middle to connect the splitters. Ill get better pics of it outside with it all on when all the parts get here.

11-29-2008, 06:02 AM
Nice man.. looking forward to seeing it!!

Keep us posted.

12-02-2008, 08:22 PM
Suprise downpipe not included, these guys are notorious for this, I hear after you contact and complain they always send it tho, guess we will see!!
Not decided on that manifold or not, i can see its already been repaired before, tho I can probably guess why... no dp support bracket and they probly removed the actual turbo to block stays too, lots of ppl do that for some silly reason??

Anyhow its Motoria 3''

12-05-2008, 09:56 PM
ASI dual core 56mm all alum rad got here just now! Holy shit this thing is huge! Awesome!!! This is gonna be a kick ass weekend! Stay tuned for pics pre and post install!

12-12-2008, 06:48 AM
god what a day...well about 6 days total.... been to the point of giving up completely when i figure out my entire fuse box is like shorting out causing all these dumb problems. Anyways its been a long day... we got out of the shop about 9:45 so heres a couple pics ill post some vids with sound and stuff probly this weekend.
I cannot even describe the sound.... so mean, sounds like it will eat a wrx with 3 inch up lol I love it.

12-12-2008, 07:58 AM
looks nice, and wash your car! :)

12-12-2008, 09:51 AM
And how's the sound? ;)

12-12-2008, 06:27 PM
sounds like a MONSTER!!! lol no honestly from like 3 grand up in boost is louder then my kicker 15'' Solo pushing 2400 watts at 1 ohm... This exhaust is insane, I cannot imagine with the header and downpipe, probably TOO loud then. I will post vids both with and without downpipe. This thing has to have freed up atleast 30 hp i thought my clutch was slipping cause boost and rpm build so fast! lol well it might be a tiny bit but i think it was mostly the change in acceleration. Good think I already have a 6 puck with 12lb fly wheel. I would love to wash it and all but forcast for the next 6 days is snow so no can do! lol

12-12-2008, 07:22 PM
Nice man. I have that same exhaust waiting to go on when I finish my engine build. Post up a video :)

I am finaly back online again... I had the car down for 2 months. I had to replace my worn out clutch so I went ahead and put in the fallowing.
New timing belt
ACL 3 layer metal head gasket
replaced every oil seal and gasket
new oil pump
Speed Source Poly engine mounts (front and back ones)
Speed Source Aluminum cross-member bushing replacements.
4 gauge wire for alternator
Speed Source Extended Slave cylinder pushrod
12 LB flywheel
6 puck clutch and pressure plate w/ARP flywheel bolts
XS power tubular manifold (had to cut off stock IC mount from head to fit)
XS power 3 inch downpipe
put back in the 540cc injectors running half gas half e-85
Clocked Turbo my buddy Brittan and I fabbed up the WG mount.
Re-routed IC piping reducing length aprox 12-16 inches.

ABS light off after removing and re-installing ABS sensor rings from previous CV.
Battery light used to come on randomly after i ran the 4 gauge it has not come on once.
Removed AC compressor and related crap saving a good 30 lbs.
Smaller belt needed for alternator.
Sensor that helps control the tvsv had a busted nipple barb and was a vac leak replaced and fixed
power steering pump sensor thing had both its vac nips broken off so i replaced that
vac is 20-22 now rarely reached 20 ever before this.

anyways ill update this post with pics soon. Full exhaust is insane... thats all i can say.

06-29-2009, 08:30 PM
Good to hear you are still around! I thought you abandoned your project!

I finally got my Motoria 3" exhaust on and it is indeed insane!! Even at idle it sounds like a monster. Here's mine for comparison.

Vip that sounds so sweet.

If I threw a 3" exhaust on my GT4 would it sound like that? I love the way it rumbles like a muscle car.

07-18-2009, 03:16 PM
VIP has some cams so yours may not rumble like his but it should sound similar.
