Look a bit like the USDM, but then without arms.
Just as UndaGrwnD, think i would have to see them on a celica

I think they look very similar. Not worth it. Unless there are some sweet turn signal lights in them bishes.

That would be a sweet idea, put some smoked side marker lights mounted in there....twould be tight

I actually think they give it an overall sleeker appearance. Nice idea. :)

Keep in mind, that to incorporate markers, you'd almost be better off cannibalizing them from another car so they would still look "factory".
Another way of doing it would be to use an l.e.d. strip.

I don't.... it's not real easy to find info on his car, he likes to keep it all under wraps for some unknown reason.

Probably because he wants to keep the highest WHP trac record at 987 or w/e...

I think he's a bit lower than that. :p

TJDouble07 recently trapped the same mph as Chinshue.

Only issue I can think of is sight lines -- pulling the mirrors in another couple of inches will leave you unable to get a full view of the lanes on either side of your car, unless you're practically sitting in the back seat.

You might want to consider modifying the mirror position within the housing to compensate. After all, if you cut out a section of the housing to accommodate a corner light you'll need to disassemble it anyway.

If your interested there is a Suby Mirror that looks like the wrc st185 mirrors.

They are pre 2000 Subaru DTM mirrors. They are popular in the UK.

From what they are saying here.

I like them, but I have read that the WRC mirrors are useless being so close to the body. I do not imagine these being much better.

A chopped mirror body like what the OP was considering would work nicely. All that would be necessary would be to remove a bit more material from the back inside corner of the mirror to give the proper angle.

Ha! I wonder If I would get pulled over if I had lights like that! I don't think they're legal in Canada.

Ryan

Do it anyway..lol

Having the lights is entirely legal -- using them on a highway (meaning any public road, street, lane, freeway, etc) is another issue.
