It's called "clocking" and yes, it can be done. I can't point you to any one specific entry, but do a search. "clocking ct-26" or "clocked ct-26" or some variant there of should prove fruitful.

it can be done and had been done may times. I myself clocked my compressor housing down last winter when I swapped out my stock turbo for the CT-20B. Its very easy and only requires a snap ring plier. You'll have to compress the snap ring inside the compressor housing's inner grove. Then you can remove the actual compressor housing. Inside will be a little metal stay, what that does is align the compressor housing for re-installment and give it the correct angle to line up with the top mount intercooler. You will have to remove that in order to turn the compressor down and be able to re use the c-clip. From there its up to you as to where you want it pointing. Check out my profile and look through my build thread, i have alot of pics in there. Goodluck!

hi just thought id let you no that i have now decided not to clock the turbo anymore.. i took a trip to tr+d the gt4 specialist.. he assured me that the only difference this makes is easier fmic routing. he said he would assure me that the difference in power or heat would never be noticed. so on adding them all up i carnt see the point in the work on the turbo .. thank you though for your help.
