well i really dont want to do it becayse i love driving that car even the shortest of distance but i need to fix a major problem before i kill my 22re. My timing chain is rattling while im driving even after the engine is warm, if it breaks the guides it will eat hole in the cover which will mix oil and coolant which will probally be the end of my rod bearings.

so now a lil over 310,000 miles im giving him a rest to repair/replace the following

timing chain(will also include new water and oil pumps, cover, hg and 270 cam, )
rear tires , they be bald
ignitor, its on its way out
horns, one shorted out
tint the windows
and fix some other minor things

after that i may include the following

replace clutch pack
replace trans, it dont have long till its dead
find a celica supra lsd rear gear and put my 3.90 in it

so for now my truck is filling in due to it need 1 or 2 things mechanicly fixed on it

what year is it for and pics would be nice, i know theres a way to make the early dual chain work with the later engine unless your was for a 85 and after engine

Can't remeber the year but if I remember correctly I had pulled parts off of a celica and remembered the dual chain in it when I tried to order the one for my 4runner, when I went to pull the old one off I was like DOH! The guy even asked like 4-5 times "are you really certain it is the dual chain?" because he only couldn't find the dual chain in the 4runner. lol
Me = Pwned...
I will post a couple of pics and check the part number on it to see what it was really for.

THE PLAN

next wensday is my next day off, im going to try to dissassemble the front part of the driveshaft (2 peice shaft)

also start undoing bolts and wiring

hopefully by thurs i can have it ready so i can pull the engine and trans

i am going to make workspace in the garage so im probally gonna make a few trips to the dump, i want to be able to atleast roll the car in and out.

next i will be going to see andy soon and receving a trans, and hopefully some other good bits, most importantly the trans

after i come back and have the engine out ill replace the chain

now heres where things get interesting, a guy wants to buy my truck, told him he can have it at the end of jan for 1400. now what im gonna do is put the longblock from my truck in my celica. Why? cause that engine was either replaced or was taken very good care of and the 22re in the celica has a slight knock that goes away after the engine is warm

now im hoping i have my other car sold by then so i can has a drivable car while i do all this

im gonna take a week off in jan to do this so if i already have the engine out by then i should be ok

sounds like a good plan, but you're actually going to rid of that beast of a truck you have? What other car are you trying to sell because I know you was planning to fix the subi.

eh as far as fixing the subi goes, its up to my dads case and if and how much money he gets.

the plan may be scrapped cause the truck may be gone after thursday, in which i may be getting another newer way better truck.

so i may just rebuild the bottom end and get a new enginebuilder stage 2 head
